WORKSHOPS + CLASSES
I host a variety of dynamic drawing and cyanotype workshops, classes and events. No matter the medium, I embrace a “come as you are” approach, offering invitations to worship at the altar of silliness. with an emphasis on offerings for people of all ages and abilities, I am to cultivate spaces to playfully surrender to the process, which allows participants to challenge their fears and perfectionism around art-making.
I wear an N95 or maskbloc approved KN95 mask at all events I attend or host. I will offer them at any events I facilitate. When I have the autonomy to do so, I require masks at my events. When I do not, I strongly encourage and provide them. I care about you and aim to do my part to mitigate the effects of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and curb other respiratory illnesses.

Cyanotype Magic:
Mini Intensive
This is a two-day exploratory dive deep into cyanotype at Ulna Studio in Southeast Portland. Part one will invite you to explore the basics of this fascinating photo-adjacent process and surrender to the magic. Part two will offer further processes to expand upon this medium and will likely invite you to challenge your perfectionism. Ah, the paradox of limitations that yield autonomy!
Friday April 3 + April 10, 2026, 6:00 - 9:00 pm
$175 per person, 10 students max
More details: Session one will explore the basics of this transformative medium! We will make photograms with my suitcase of treasures and UV lamps (hence our ability to make "sun prints" at night!). I'll offer exploratory exercises and introduce new techniques throughout. Session two will invite us to further surrender to the magic of cyanotype by exploring mixed media possibilities and multiple exposure techniques! We'll conclude by hanging all of our work and discussing our experiences. So excited to make art with you'se!
